Eventful Weekend

I have a tiring but eventful weekend. On Saturday, Auntie Liza, Uncle Simon, Auntie Sue, Auntie Chin Leng, Uncle Boon and Uncle Chris came over our house for potluck lunch to celebrate daddy mummy’s birthday (combine celebration). They brought a lot of yummy food over such as home cook tandorri chicken, Auntie Sue’s famous “ji-chu-ji” (prawn plater), quiche and daddy’s roasted BBQ chicken (looks burn outside but very yummy).

While they were enjoying their food, I had my short afternoon nap. I was overwhelm with so many uncles and aunties around when I woke up. They tried to carry me but I started to cry!

Uncle Simon’s shoulder is not as comfortable as daddy’s, I don’t want…WAH WAH WAH!!

Sorry uncle, auntie, I was just in bad mood that day. Next time when you visit me, I will play with you guys and give you some smile instead.

Uncle Chris bought a cake for me! Even though it meant to be the celebration for daddy & mummy’s birthday but I got the cake instead because uncle Chris said that he has not seen me since I was born so this is my birthday cake. I got to blow the candle as well!

Sunday was my baby dedication and it was daylight saving as well, which means we have to adjust our clock one hour earlier. Not only daddy mummy forgot about it, we all were overslept on that day!! When mummy finally recalled, we only have 30 mins to get ready to go to church before the service starts! We arrived at the church 5 min late. After getting the name tag for my baby dedication, daddy rushed out to send the cupcakes to mummy’s customer (they suppose to send before going to church). Baby dedication will only start in 40 min time, so daddy thought he will have more than enough time to deliver the cake and come back. However,when we were called to go up to the stage, daddy still not back yet!

 

Pastor Daljit introduced me to the church and talked to me….still no daddy!

Mummy prayed and prayed that daddy will be able to reach on time before the prayer.

Just right before Pastor Terry prayed for me, daddy arrived!! He ran from the end of the hall right up to the stage to join us!

 

Oops, I yawn…just a bit tired after waiting so long for daddy :)

Daddy mummy said they prayed to have me and God has granted that what they asked for. So now they dedicated me back to the Lord, my whole life I will given over to God to serve Him and love Him. I sneezed to agree with them when they said AMEN!

I also got a baby dedication certificate to remember this important day!

After the church, we went to Straits Cafe for Penang food with Uncle Sean, Auntie Lisa, Averial and Jayden. I enjoyed my time playing in the pram while daddy mummy enjoyed their yummy Penang.

We had a panic but happy day! 

The World is in my hands!

Yesterday daddy had a day off. So we had a very great family time together playing at home and also went shopping in the complex. While we were in one of the travel agents, I saw a globe on the desk. Daddy let me have a look at the globe and even show me where I am in the map. I realised that it can turn too! After a few attempt of reaching out to the globe, finally I managed to get hold of it in my hand! Wow, I can’t believe that I have the whole world in my hands!!! I get so excited that I started to swing the globe and even hitting the globe on the desk. You know I just want to see whether the people in the world will be able to come out and say hi to me :) Mummy tried to stop me from hitting the globe but all in vain and finally I throw it on the floor and broke the handle. Oops!! Sorry miss travel agent, I didn’t mind it. She didn’t look very happy after I destroy the “world”. Daddy mummy get ready to pay for the globe that I destroy (which could cost them up to $30-40) and told me this will be one of the most expensive toy I ever have. But thank God miss travel agent was kind enough to let us go without paying.

 

The lesson I have learned is, we cannot have the world is our hands, if not we will eventually destroy it! Daddy mummy said they learn the lesson not to let me touch the things which belongs to others just in case I destroy them again.

Daddy mummy put me in the pram while they did their window shopping. I know I shout too much recently until daddy mummy sometimes find it very annoying. So I pull my head band down to cover my mouth just to show them that I will try to keep quiet as much as I can. Do I look like ninja?

I am a Liverpool girl

Mummy got daddy his favourite team’s 2009-2010 jersey and it just arrived today. I have the honour to be the model to present the gift to daddy. I think it is a little too big for me. I can’t find my hands! Daddy came back today and after giving me my routine bath. He put it on me again, however true to my namesake as daddy’s girl, I decided to be as cheeky as daddy by chucking on his new present. He was not angry but said this to me “That’s my girl!”

Do you think Liverpool will be interested to hire me as their baby model? 

During the weekend, I also have the opportunity to be a hoddie girl! Weather suddenly gets really cold recently so all of us have to wear tight jacket, just nice daddy mummy and I were wearing hoddie jackets. So we took a photo to remember this hoddie day! Hoddie family say “good-day mate” to everyone!

 

Happy Birthday Daddy!!

Today is daddy’s BIG 30!!! So I woke up very early in the morning around 5.15am (1 hour earlier than usual) to greet daddy!! I cried and refused to go back to sleep in my cot, they have to bring me into their bed, hoping that I will go back to sleep for another hour. However, I was so excited that I could not sleep but waving and kicking my legs on their bed. Mummy tried to pet me while daddy continue to catch some sleep before the day break. Daddy said what a birthday present I gave to him early in the morning. As I am too tired playing for close to 45 min, when mummy fed me later on, I dozed off on mummy’s breast.

Mummy baked some nice cuppies for daddy to bring to his company as his birthday cake. Yes, daddy’s company is so weird that birthday boy needs to bring their own cake to celebrate with colleagues! As per daddy’s request, mummy made the cuppies full with daddy’s favourite things. Take a guess what are daddy’s favourite things from the cuppies?

   

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

I also got the chance to sing birthday song for daddy with the cuppies before daddy heading to work.

As my sleeping time is 7.30pm, daddy mummy cannot go out for celebration, so in the evening mummy cooked some nice dishes for dinner. We all sit together in the dinner table to enjoy the birthday meal with daddy.

 

Poor me had to stare at them eating all the time! So I decided to eat my chair!

The food looks so yummy that I also feel like trying some! Daddy said “Not yet, wait for another few weeks ok?”

Five months achievement

I turned five months today! To celebrate my five months old, I have made a great achievement which daddy mummy have been waiting a while for it.....

ta-da!!!!



Yes! I finally can roll over now! I have been trying to roll over during the weekend but I always stuck half way and sometimes I will feel frustrated and cried. But today I know I am turning five months old, so I need to have an achievement that will make daddy mummy proud of me. Mummy was very thrilled that she is the first to see my achievement and even able to record down my first time rolling over in the video clip.

Since the first success, I have been trying to flip over whenever I am on my back even when daddy mummy change me on the changing table. So now they can't even leave their hands off me when I am on the changing table.

My recent activities

I finally get to sleep on daddy and mummy's bed for a short nap by refusing to sleep at my own cot. This is because their bed full of mummy's soft toys which eventually will be mine but I can't wait!

This picture was taken yesterday which is Sunday which means today is the start of a brand new week. That also means is time to plan how to annoy my parents for the whole week. Where to start? where to start? More importantly who to start annoying first?




Finally I found a new toy and it is my favourite one now. I got hold of daddy's credit card! Yes! Time to go shopping! It is good to learn how to 'handle' cards from young.
