My First Christmas and Overseas Trip

Hello Uncles & Aunties, it has been a while since I update my blog. We were back to Melbourne one week ago and daddy mummy only managed to get the internet connected now. Anyway, I am going to write a long summary of my overseas trip in this blog.

I spent my first Christmas & new year in Malaysia. This is also my first overseas trip! We flew from Melbourne to Singapore first before heading to Penang. I enjoyed my flight so much that I even get all the attention from the air stewardess.

 

We spent 3 days in Singapore. This is daddy’s first time in Singapore too! Daddy mummy met up with some of their close friends in Singapore, uncle Aaron, aunty Michelle, Uncle Gabriel, aunty Betty and uncle Raymond. There are a lot of nice Christmas decoration and lighting in the city of Singapore. As it was a very short trip, we didn’t manage to go anywhere besides walking around Orchard Road where our hotel is.

Then we flew over to Penang to see Yea Yea, Ma Ma, Ah Ma, Pak Pak and all the aunties uncles. They all are so thrilled to see me!!

I had very enjoyable time with my aunties, uncles and love letting them carrying me everywhere. I also received a lot of ang pow (red packets) from them as a first time meeting up gift.

After two days  daddy mummy brought me to KL. I met up with some of daddy mummy’s closest friends. We stayed with aunty Jessie and uncle Rahim. I enjoyed playing with kor kor Idris during the stay.

 

However, most of the time I was feeling sleepy and tired, so daddy mummy will let me sleep and didn’t manage to go much places. Sorry daddy mummy, I started to feel sick that time.

Daddy mummy made an appointment earlier on to bring me for normal check up with the paediatrician after our KL trip. On that very right morning of the check up, which was Christmas eve, I had very high fever – 39.2 degree!!! The nurse had to bring me to the ward and sponge me with the luke warm water to bring down my temperature. I was crying all the way when they “bath” me.

After a while, doctor Jessica came to the ward to check on me. She discovered that I had 6 ulcers in my mouth and throat!!!! After further check up she told daddy mummy that I was diagnosed with Hand foot mouth disease (HFMD) which is a very common epidemic in Singapore and Malaysia. As I am just 8 months old, doctor wanted daddy mummy to admit me for close monitoring. Nurses gave me panadol, mouth spray and vitamin throughout the whole day. They even checked my heart beat to make sure I do not have feats. I was very sick then and slept most of the time.

 

Daddy mummy was so heartache to see me in such a condition.

After spending 10 hours in the hospital, my fever subsided, so daddy mummy decided to bring me back home so that I can spend my Christmas eve at home instead of in the hospital. Mummy had to wake up every 2 hours to feed me as I only willing to take breastmilk, refuse all the liquid and food. Sorry mummy, my mouth and throat were very sore!!!

Early morning on Christmas day, I was welcome with a lot of pressie from daddy mummy, pak pak, Yea Yea Mama. In the afternoon, I received even more pressie from Ah Ma, Auntie, Uncles!!

Daddy mummy has to confine at home with me during Christmas period. They missed out a lot of time eating their yummy Penang food and catching with their friends. Sorry daddy mummy :(

However, I recovered speedily within a few days. Thank You Jesus for the healing. Everyone has been praying for me. Thank you for your prayer too!

The remaining one week in Penang, daddy mummy brought me out to meet up with some of their friends. I also got to meet up some of my little Malaysian friends.

I have a very memorable and interesting holiday in Malaysia. Esrene miss you all in Malaysia. Do come to Melbourne to visit us and we hope in the soon future we can go back to Malaysia for a visit again!

I am spoilt!!

Yea yea & mama are here these two weeks to visit me. They are so happy to see me again after I was born half a year ago! Yea Yea bought me a study toy and mama bought me a lot of nice hair pins. I also got some new pretty clothes from Pak Pak! I got all their attention. They spent lots of time playing and chatting with me. They are so glad that I get along very well with them and never cry.

The first day out shopping with them, they already got me a toy, just because I touched the toy and smile at Yea Yea like this….

This is my big Elmo bought by Yea Yea while we go shopping. My Elmo is so big, bigger than me, but I love playing with Elmo and wrestle with him!

During the weekend, we met up with Por Por Olive, Gong Gong Ronnie and Auntie Wendy at Harbour Town. They came to Melbourne for their holiday. Por Por Olive bought me some pretty clothes as well!!!

These two weeks are very busy weeks for daddy mummy because of this…

Yes, we are moving to our new house very soon. So daddy mummy busy packing for the move. Right after the move we will be flying to Malaysia!! This will be my first overseas trip!

Aunties, uncles, all my little friends in Malaysia, we hope to meet up with you guys when we are there!!

Thus, I will be on blogging hiatus mode from now.

Daddy mummy will post our new house and Malaysia photos when we get back.

Guess where the music comes from…

One afternoon, after my lunch and some play time, I started to yawn, so mummy put me down in my cot for afternoon nap.As usual, I whined in my cot refused to sleep (normally I will fall asleep after 5-10 min whining). So mummy went to the living room to have her lunch. After 5 min, suddenly mummy heard some music sounds like a music mobile I have. She checked the play mat, the mobile was there without moving. So she started to track towards the direction of the music, it was from my room!!! Except for the music, mummy couldn’t hear any of my noise in the room. She decided to quietly open the door and peep in to have a look, and this is what she found…

Mummy, I am just learning from you. I saw you pulling the handle to make the music ring from this little house, so now I am doing it myself.

Mummy has to keep away this musical toy from my cot so that I can "concentrate" on my sleeping rather than playing.

I have my 2 front tooth already!! I was so cranky for the last week crying in pain middle of the night as I was teething. Now then the 2 little tooth of mine are out, I feel much better now. I can bite and bite on everything now with my tooth!!

While packing in my room, mummy found this little hat in my tall boy. It fits just nicely on my head. Do I look cute with this hat? Now then I can wear the hat out to block the summer sun :)

During the weekend, daddy mummy brought me to our life group multiplication party. I was overwhelmed with the toys in the playmat. I was so happy playing those toys that I totally ignore daddy mummy. Felishia was trying to play with me, but I also ignore her and continue my "hammering". (Felishia is 2 months older than me).

My Sculpture Arrived

Remember 2 months ago I told you that daddy mummy did my feet and hand sculpture for me in the blog? Well, after so many weeks, daddy finally received it!!! Daddy was so excited when he bought back home the sculpture. Daddy showed it to me, I love it so much!!! I keep touching the frame just hoping that I can reach out to my little sculpture hand and feet.

Mummy compared the size of my feet now with the sculpture and realised that my feet is much bigger now even though it is just few weeks ago!

I am growing fast daddy mummy said.

Mummy tried to take the similar post for comparison now – 33 weeks.

Look how much I grow!!! Mummy complaint that it is so hard to take the similar post of my feets now coz I keep moving and can’t stay still for 1 minute. Mummy, there’s more interesting thing out there than laying there for you to take the photos of my feet!!!

Sniff Sniff!!

I am sick :( I caught some cold from Daddy! Now I am having running nose and little cough. Mummy brought me to see doc, Dr Peter said I am fine, just have a little cold, mummy just has to clear my nasal often to make sure I can breath better. However, I am very fussy and glumpy especially when come to feeding time and sleeping coz I can’t breath properly. I will cry and cry refuse to sleep or feed.

I am very clingy as well, mummy has to always be there to accompany me when I play or having my nap. Mummy also caught the cold virus from Daddy, she is very tired but still have to take care of me. Sorry mummy!

Despite of that, I never fail to give mummy daddy some smile during the day.

I learned how to clip hands now as well. When mummy say “clip clip, clip hands Esrene”, or when I see daddy mummy clip hands, I will clip my hands.

Daddy mummy pray that I will recover very soon so that I can be a cheerful girl as I used to be.

I can also say "da da...da di" now....I am trying to call daddy you see!!!

7 months old and growing...

I turned 7 months on Saturday!!These are some of the things that I enjoy doing as a 7 month old baby.

I love my food more than milk now. My favourite food now are chicken with avocado puree & Australia juicy mango…yum yum!!

I can sit myself up from crawling position now. I will do my “ballet split” to position myself up to the sitting position. Daddy mummy didn’t get to take the video, will share with you my new skill when they capture some video of me “performing” my new skill.

I still love reading bible very much.

Jesus says “man shall not live by bread alone but by the words of God”. So I decided to eat the bible!

I enjoy sitting on daddy's shoulder. I am high high up and can see a lot of things. So fun!!

I love going shopping with daddy mummy. I enjoy it even more if they put me in the trolley…

or in the shopping basket!

I love splashing water when I am in the bath tub. It is my little swimming pool at home!! Because of this, I often wet the room carpet. Daddy mummy said they have to bath me in the bathroom in future :( Why can’t the bath tub be my swimming pool???

Besides all these, I love to smile and laugh a lot now. It is a very fun age to be coz I have a lot more skills that enable me see more things and play around…

Another milestone

Today mummy discovered that I can crawl!! Mummy said it is a bit too early, coz I just know how to sit and not very stable with my sitting but I can now crawl!

Mummy realised that I keep eyeing her mobile phone when she was talking to daddy on the phone while playing with me in the play mat. So after the call, mummy put the mobile in front of me just to see how I respond. The mobile was too interesting. So I try my best to push and push forward to get the mobile. Finally I manage to grab hold on it! But too bad, mummy took it away once I got it…why mummy? Can’t I have this as my toy???

After I know this new skill, I have been pushing myself forward to grab the toys and things I see around me….how convenience!!

So this is where I ended up in....my sleeping bag ...

Daddy mummy said now they have to quickly get the gate and keep all the dangerous stuffs in the house to prevent me from reaching to them. They never thought I can crawl so fast so never prepare anything. I can foresee it will be a busy weekend for them to tidy up the house then!
